What drugstore foundation do you recommend for severe acne and scars?

I would like something with heavy coverage, doesn't look too cakey, and comes in a yellow undertone. Any suggestions? What drugstore foundation do you recommend for severe acne and scars?
I used to use ';Revlon Colorstay'; for years. It has REALLY good coverage...it completely covered everything. The bonus was that my friends would comment on how good my skin looked, like I wasn't wearing foundation. You do need makeup remover to take it off (it really stays on your skin), but it was worth it for the coverage. Good luck! :)What drugstore foundation do you recommend for severe acne and scars?
remember to top it of with a powder concealer to make it stay on even longer Report Abuse

I wouldn't recommend any foundation, putting makeup over acne just makes it worse or causes you to break out even more. Let your skin breathe. The best thing would be to buy cleansing and exfoliating products. But Bare Escentuals has loose powder foundations that look natural and actually improve your skin, and it's very hard to get heavy liquid and cream foundations to look natural.
i would recommend you first buy a concealer so that you can hide you zits (i recommend maybellene or cover girl ) Then apply a thin layer of foundation so that you don't look so caky , i have found that the best foundations are ... Maybellene dream matte mousse and cover girl true blend liquid foundation

hope i helped xoxo
Okay, I know you are asking for a drugstore kind, but I have some advice. The price of the material, is what its going to look like. Invest in MAC's studio fix. I used to use drugstore makeup, until I tried on this stuff.. it works wonders, you wouldnt imagine how big of a difference it makes.
Bare minerla

it doesn't make you brake out or anything!
i would go to a doctor for acne products like epiduo

and i love trublend mousse foundation it works really well
revlon colorstay.

if you want to go for the better brands, try estee lauder.

or mac studio fix.
L'Oreal Mineral Foundation.

Works just as well as the expensive tv Minerals like Bare Minerals brand, but costs about $10. It can be used as a foundation, a concealer, and a finishing powder all in one step. It doesn't settle into wrinkles and scars like liquid foundations do and the mineral make ups are chemical-free and mineral-oil free, which is really important if your skin is oily/acne prone.

Best of all is that it stays put, doesn't smudge unless you really rub it, and is relatively waterproof/sweatproof too. Trust me, I've found nothing better over many years of wearing make up.

You can get the L'Oreal brand at any drugstore (Rite Aid, Wal Mart, CVS, etc).
