How can you reduce the appearance of scars on the lips?

I have a scar on my lip from falling over a couple of years ago - its quite hard in the centre and raised so looks like a big bump! I realise I am completely vain but I really want to get rid of it - any suggestions would it require lasers/surgery? or am I just stuck with it!

other than that I'd suggest covering with honey every night is possible %26amp; leave till morning for at least a week.
