Alpha hydroxy acids work pretty well, you can find them in some facial cleansers and wrinkle creams. Citric acid is an alpha hydroxy acid which is why some people recommend lemon juice. There are a few other remedies that work as well.

I have the exact same problem. (sigh...) people have told me just not to touch them but i cant help it. I just cant stand the feeling of having a pus volcano on my face! but this weekend i had band camp because im in color guard , and my face got a little burnt and i noticed this morning that my scars weren't as bad.
